Information is Potential Power

Many people believe that information is power. This is wrong. Information is potential power and I’m going to explain to you why this is. In explaining this though, its actually going to allow you to capitalize, per say, on all the knowledge that you already have!
I explain this a lot to my consulting clients, when they ask me “why is action so important, why can’t I just think my way out of it?”. Well, why is it?
I’ll explain it to you with an analogy of a car and gas. Gas and fuel is like knowledge, personal development, and training of any kind. The more information you have the more POTENTIAL power you have. Now the vehicle is that which your applying the knowledge in.
For instance, you can know how to market online very well, but if your in a crapy company your only going to be able to do so. Just as if you have great fuel but your driving a Ford Focus your only going to be able to drive so fast. But if you get in a ferrari with that fuel you will fly!
But there is very important KEY in this puzzle… How to the car actually move? Can it drive its self? No. You have to push down the pedal, Ex. TAKE ACTION for the vehicle to move.
So in saying this, you can have the best vehicle (company) in world, personally develop yourself and take training for 20 years, but if you dont actually push down the pedal and take action you WONT MOVE.
This means that all your knowledge that you have is only potential power until it has a conduit to flow through. And this conduit is taking action.
